God's Heart
GOD’S HEART
By Judy L. Walker
Introduction
– God’s Word is a Love Story –
God Loves us with a Love that is far greater than human love,
BUT …
He is also a God, Who judges sin and evil with perfect justice.
“Both are Truth”!
SALVATION —
THE PROBLEM … THE ANSWER
In the Beginning … “it was very good”
—
THE PROBLEM —
We are BORN SINNERS from the “FALL”, The Original Sin - TWO TREES;
Genesis 3:4-7
4 The serpent said to the woman, “You won’t really die,
5 for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.
7 Their eyes were opened, and they both knew that they were naked.
They sewed fig leaves together, and made coverings for themselves.

Mankind is descendants of Adam; therefore, we are born in a sinful state:
Genesis 5:1-2
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness.
2 He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them Adam.
GOD is full of MERCY & GRACE
He has always Loved us and is our Provider!

THE ANSWER —
“GOD’S PERFECT PLAN OF REDEMPTION” for His Beloved Mankind:
GOD THE FATHER DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVING HEART by sending,
HIS WORD as HIS SON in the flesh in THE PERSON, JESUS CHRIST,
GOD THE FATHER sends HIS SPIRIT in THE PERSON, THE HOLY SPIRIT.
GOD THE ONLY ONE RIGHTEOUS provides mankind, the WAY Back into His Glorious Presence!
All mankind must decide where their spirit, that never dies, goes for Eternity:
Live in Belief with Jesus in Heaven
or
Die in Unbelief without Him in Hell.
God’s heart’s desire is to have all His children come Home!
“The Good News, The Gospel of Jesus Christ”
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born (begotten) Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me”.
Acts 2:38 - Peter said to them, “Repent (turn) be baptized (in The Holy Spirit), every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
—
God’s reveals His lordship through His Son, Jesus Christ, Who places within the Believer the Holy Spirit, Who in turn gives us an understanding of Salvation, His Creation and Providence.
– Stop resisting the Holy Spirit that is drawing you to Jesus, repent (turn) from the darkness of sin and to the Light of Christ.
- Confess you Believe in His Death, Burial and Resurrection, and accept God’s Invitation.
Humble yourself before a Holy God
Turn to Jesus for forgiveness of sins
Believe Salvation is a Gift
Receive the Gift
- CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH FROM YOUR HEART TO GOD’S!
- EVERY PERSON MUST “CHOOSE“ to ACCEPT OR DENY
- GOD’S GIFT OF SALVATION … THERE IS NO FENCE SITTING!
The moment, I chose Jesus; On the floor of despair, a choice, death or Life, I “chose to believe” God’s Word in John 3:16. I cried out for Jesus to “help me, I can’t do this anymore; I will follow you wherever that takes me”… The Holy Spirit entered in and sealed me in His Presence forever!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (Next day after I was Reborn, I was led to these verses)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh,” thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
12 You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13 You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
The moment, the Thief on the cross, chose Jesus; He fears God, acknowledges Jesus’ sinless, innocent state, while witnessing His unjust horrible death. He deserves his punishment, but he knows Jesus does not! He humbly asks Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into Your Kingdom.”
—
Luke 23:40-43
40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”
42 He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”
43 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
– GOD’S HEART for Mankind’s Perfect Plan of Redemption –
I wrote this prayer from my understanding of Scripture, I call it;
“The Affirmation Prayer”
—
GOD HEART’S DESIRE
— GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HIM, NOT JUST KNOW ABOUT HIM! —
For you, who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that you will be drawn to do so by reading His Words expressed in this article, “God’s Heart”.
Stop resisting the Holy Spirit, make a choice, even if it is a mustard seed of Faith from your heart … not based on what you know but rather your desire to know God.
Confess, “I Believe in my heart, what God’s Word says about His Son, Jesus Christ, God manifested in flesh, willingly died for my sins, His flesh was buried and His Spirit within rose Himself from the dead.
Believers, that you will be encouraged to spend quiet time in growing your personal relationship with your Heavenly Father, Who Loved you first and unconditionally …
God demonstrated His Sacrificial Love on the Cross!
RECEIVE GOD’S HEART
— You must be Born Again (Baptized) in the Holy Spirit —
Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:1-21; you must be born in the Spirit.
John 3:3- Jesus answers and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a person (be born again) from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
If you are not or are uncertain you are a Reborn Believer, please reread the prior “Salvation – The Problem … The Answer” in the Introduction.
Be confident where you will spend Eternity!
One of the most gut-wrenching verses in the Bible to Believers, is;
Matthew 7:23 - And then I (JESUS) will TELL them,
“I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, you who work iniquity.”
—
“REBORN” BELIEVERS RECEIVE: All God has for them as a Child of God!
NEW HEART – God’s Love, His Desires and Thoughts
Ezekiel 36:26-27
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my commandments, and you shall keep my Laws, and do them.
NEW NATURE – God’s Goodness
Romans 6:17 - Thank God that, although ye were the slaves of sin, ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine unto which ye are delivered;
INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT –
God comforts and guides Believers
John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all the things that I have said unto you.
God walks Believers through the “renewing of their mind” into obedience;
Romans 12:1-2
1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
2 Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of God.
2 Corinthians 10:5 - throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Outline
GOD’S HEART BEATS WITHIN EVERY BELIEVER
– What does the Bible say about God’s Sacrificial Love, that beats within every Believer .
– How are we to express, (demonstrate) God’s Heart to others.
PART A – FIRST, LOVE GOD
Matthew 22:37-38
37 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
38 This is the first and great commandment.
PART B – SECOND, LOVE OTHERS AS YOURSELF
Matthew 22:39 - 40
39 A second likewise is this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
These two commandments are made possible for Believers to keep by;
Jesus Christ replacing “our heart of stone with God’s Heart”,
The Holy Spirit comes to dwell within, Saves us, Seals us for Redemption, and leads the Way to Live, motivated by God’s Love!
Note from the author:
“I must express before we begin, that I will never fully know God’s Heart,
He placed in me when I was Reborn until, I SEE JESUS ON THAT DAY! “

PART A – FIRST, LOVE GOD
To understand God as a Spirit in our human vessel is beyond our ability, however God wants to restore our Intimate Personal Relationship with Him, to live within us not just cover us with His Spirit, as it was in the “Garden”.
God is Love …
His Holy Spirit draws all to receive,
His heart beats within every Believer,
His Nature motivates them,
Completely immersed in Him,
The Fruit of the Spirit overflows to others,
Heavenly Love received and then given,
On Earth as in Heaven,
The Joy of our Salvation is …
John 1:9 - “this was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person”
Regardless of the tragic circumstances in which a baby maybe conceived, all life starts by the very spark of Light from God, just as sacred as any other life that is conceived in Love.
— Our Creator is the Author of Love, we are born from the Love of the Father, man’s participation in conception doesn’t add or decrease His Love for us, our Father wants a personal relationship with each of His children through a Person, Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son.
— Mankind; Male and Female are uniquely created in the image of God, with qualities that reflect His character and have the capability to reason and make choices.
— Unlike the angels, we are created in the very Image of God, enabling us to encounter our Creator in Intimate Spiritual Relationship, if … we choose to receive Jesus Christ into our heart.
John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Hebrews 1:3 - His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, (Nature) and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
—
A Believer’s Eternal Personal Relationship is built in the Godly Love of the Father expressed through a person, Jesus Christ; no man can separate us!
God’s Love never leaves His Loved Ones wondering:
“What if” and “What is to come” God gave us His Word!
God’s Word became flesh to Live among us after His Death, Burial and Resurrection to Live within us, if we want Him!
John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 10:30 - “I and the Father are one.”
Some people relate to each other by things,
Others relate directly to each other’s heart,
Same is true with God.
A personal relationship with Jesus is heart to heart,
A genuine interest in knowing Him as a person,
Not what He can do for us or give them!
How did God solve the problem of man’s harden heart of stone?
God performs “Heart Surgery” takes out our heart of stone in the Believer and gives them, His Heart of flesh, enabling Believers to Love Him first and then others!
—
PART B – SECOND, LOVE OTHERS AS YOURSELF
Matthew 22:39 – A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Why did our Lord and Savior come in the flesh?
Jesus showed us “the Way” to navigate relationships expressing God’s Love for His Glory!
What does the “Human Experience” look like?
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, “are born” into His Family, Friends in Christ, “choose each other”!
John 15:15 - No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
I said to God … “I Love You so much it hurts,
I feel It in my heart, mind and soul”
God said, “I know” … He told me;
Share My Love, express your feelings,
My Power within helps you to avoid sin,
I came in flesh to show you the Way,
This is … “My Human Experience”, within you!
—
For us to express God’s Heart effectively, we must examine Jesus’ relationship with others when He walked among us, incarnate!
Three Personal Relationships with Jesus, what do they reveal to us:
1) Mary Magdalene, one personally loved by the risen Lord:
She traveled with Jesus as a follower and supporter. Luke 8:1-3
Jesus had previously delivered her from evil spirits. Mark 16:9
She was present at the crucifixion. John 19:25-27
She was the first to witness the resurrected Jesus (as “the” first messenger of the resurrection). John 20:11-18
Jesus called her by name and commissioned her to tell the disciples, (that is intimate and relational). John 20:16-17
— Mary was a close, personal disciple-follower, deeply grateful, faithfully present, and entrusted with the first eyewitness message of the risen Christ.
2) John, a very close, personal relationship with Jesus, more “intimate” than most of the other disciples.
He was part of Jesus’ inner circle. Peter, James, and John were the three Jesus often brought closest at key moments. Mark 5:37; Mark 9:2; Mark 14:33
He leaned on Jesus at the Last Supper. John is described as the disciple “whom Jesus loved,” who was reclining close to Jesus, an unmistakable sign of closeness. John 13:23; John 19:26-27
Jesus entrusted John with His mother. From the cross, Jesus speaks to John and gives him responsibility to care for her. John 19:26-27
(That’s covenant love in action)
John’s closeness wasn’t just about feelings; it was about relationship.
— Jesus didn’t merely teach John information; He drew John into a life shared with Himself, the kind of union where love flows out of being with Christ.
3) Peter had a very real personal relationship with Jesus, up close and ongoing, right from the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.
Peter was an “eyewitness” of Jesus, He emphasizes firsthand knowledge, watching, hearing, and being with Christ. 2 Peter 1:16; Acts 4:13
Peter followed Jesus and was part of the inner circle; he traveled with Jesus, learned from Him directly, and was among the disciples who saw Jesus in special moments. Luke 5:8-11; Matthew 4:18-20
Peter had a close friendship, complete with failure and restoration, he denied Jesus three times, but Jesus restored him afterward, showing him grace that went beyond his performance.
This matters because his leadership later flows from that restored grace.
Luke 22:54-62; John 21:15-17
— Peter’s “apostle” authority came from knowing Christ personally; he is credible because he truly knew Jesus. Even so, the gospel of grace remained central in his message. Galatians 2:7-8; 1 Peter 1:1-2
—
Jesus’ human experience, recorded in Scripture, shows us a close relationship with Him is:
a disciple-follower, deeply grateful, faithfully present, intimate, sacrificial, and transforming
strengthened by the risen Christ, empowered and entrusted to preach the Message of the risen Christ, The “Good News”, The Gospel
not just feelings or knowledge, “it is about an intimate personal relationship with a Person”
GOD LOVES EVERYONE EQUALLY, however if we choose, we can draw closer to His inner circle, this comes from a deep desire to know Him personally.
—Our relationships are not just information or knowledge of a person but sharing life, expressing Love out of God’s Heart for God first, then to others, in that order!
“Love thy Neighbor, as thyself” is a Spiritual and physical experience, expressed in Power of the Holy Spirit to keep God’s commitments, Glorifying God and drawing others to His (now our) Family.
—We demonstrate God’s unconditional Love (discussed in the Introduction) by the Power of the Holy Spirit: that lives within every Believer, to everyone, regardless of race, gender, or preconceived man-made indoctrination, God is no respecter of persons, “God so Loved the world”!
Acts 10:34 - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons, (show favoritism):
—Holy Spirit gives us the ability to relate to people in a genuine, authentic, and compassionate expression of God’s Love to others, especially those hurting, in a unique way that opens their hearts to Jesus.
—
– Demonstrated on the Cross was Sacrificial Love –
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Charity (Love) suffers long and is benign; charity envies not; charity does nothing without due reason, is not puffed up,
5 is not injurious, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil,
6 rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
– Jesus does not want His Children to go it alone; the Body of Christ is designed to support and help each member. –
Ephesians 4:16 - from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
– Everyone is unique; we should always treat them that way. –
God designed our unique talents gifts to draw others to Himself, through us;
Receiving and giving God’s Love heals the human heart
Relating God’s providence through all our good and bad experiences with others, blesses us as well as them.
A Good Friend is;
“A friend is not an occasional acquaintance, pampering your whims, your philosophies, or your erroneous evaluations & egotistical value.
A friend is someone you can’t get rid of--when you need help & are too prideful to ask; who holds you accountable & checks you at the door.” By David L. Matthie
Believers walking in Christ’s Spirit,
encouraging talents and gifts
allowing the other to grow,
Culmination of Joyful moments
receiving and sharing God’s Love,
Creating an explosion of
Holy Fire surging within,
Drawn to dance as one
in an exhilarating experience
Spiritual meets Spiritual
When in Holy Matrimony
Spiritual meets physical!

Ephesians 5:25-27, 30-32
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you
Human Marriage is a shadow of what is to come;
Bridegroom (Jesus) comes back for His Bride (Believers)
Revelation 19:7-9
7 Let’s rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let’s give the glory to him. For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.”
8 It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 He said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.’” He said to me, “These are true words of God.”
The Desire of God’s Heart is for all to be at His Table, in His Presence, once again!
However, you must …………………………

Wonderfully written.
A blessing to anyone.
I thank you, Judy, for reminding us of the true nature of our faith in Christ.
At a time when the church is running away after fantasies that tickle their ears, it's good to have someone tell the truth the way it is--without watering it down.
